The blessing of blessing. Jesus was the first one who knew the power of love. He based the most important rule for blessing on that. “Bless your enemies, bless them who persecute and slander you for the sake of my name.” This also offers a criterium to determine who the true followers of Jesus are. In which churches are they praying for the terrorists, for Irak, for Bush, and for all warring and evil and therefore fearful creatures? Who blesses them with the love and the peace of God? I do! Only the true Christian can say that. The spirit of Christ, which is in us, can only bless. And when I bless my enemies and my hostile thoughts, I surrender them to the Light of Divine Truth. Joel Goldsmith, a contemporary mystic, has given a wonderful account of that. During the 2nd world war some parents asked him to pray for their children who were in the battle overseas. Joel agreed on one condition. These young people had to pray every morning, not only for themselves, but also for the enemy. And all these people returned from the war unharmed. I always tell people who do a Trans4mator training with me that blessing everyone and everything on your path is one of the most powerful means to live in peace and happiness. They often ask me how to do that. Well, subconsciously you already bless everything you appreciate. Your appreciation, your love, is a blessing for that on which you focus it. By consciously blessing you can become aware of more that is blessing you. Jesus said “love your enemies”. Of course, because the people you love are already blessed with your appreciation. So I began to bless my neighbours consciously. And even though that was not the case at first, I now have great neighbours. Everyone who apparently did not fancy the role, has moved. When I just moved here, a woman who had lived here for 12 years, came to ask me why I had used the word “God” in a conversation with her child. The child had started a conversation while I was working in the garden. I told the mother I would not allow my convictions to be censored by anyone. A month later she had moved. Another woman living next door treated her children rather harshly. When I began to pray for her, she also moved. In 2005 I began to extend my blessings to all shops I visit. I bless the shop, the people who work there, the people who shop there and the people who make the products and deliver them and also the products. Even the products I don't like, the cigarettes and alcohol. They represent my hostile thoughts and deserve my blessing. I bless the taxes and all institutes and companies I deal with. And of course the people in my life. The results are miraculous. I thought I had discovered something no one apparently realized, and was going to write about the blessing of blessing, as I experience it. Then a friend gave me a beautiful book written by Pierre Pradervand “The Gentle Art of Blessing”. We are truly One! Unfortunately he does not elaborate in his book on blessing money. Many people charge money with negative energy. I think this is one of the main causes of all the poverty and misery on the planet. People are standing in line at the cashier's and think “it is so expensive”. Sometimes they say that aloud. At least, I used to do that and finally I realized there could be another way. I began to bless all the money that goes through my hands and also all the money I saw in the hands of others. I now also bless my bills and money accounts and creditcards. And while doing that I imagine that the money that is blessed in this way, causes thoughts of abundance and peace in the people in whose hands it flows. This has brought such abundance in my life, it's incredible. I used to be a bargain hunter, now the bargains are hunting me. Whenever I buy something and want to pay for it, often it is suddenly cheaper than the price ticket says. I have one wonderful experience after another through the blessing of blessing. Pierre Pradervand says in his book: Bless this day when you awaken, for it contains all good, that will become apparent through your blessings, for blessing is being aware of the unlimited good that is contained in the structure of the universe, waiting for all and everyone. Bless the people in the street in passing by, in the bus, in work places and places of play. The peace of your blessing will accompany them on their way and her aura will be a light on their path. Bless people when you meet them and talk to them; bless them in their health, their work, their joy, their relationship with the universe, themselves and others. Bless them in their abundance and finances, bless them in every conceivable way, for these blessings not only sow the seeds of healing, but once they will spring like flowers in the barren spots of your own life. It is impossible to simultaneously bless and judge. Therefore cherish continuously the desire to bless, like a deeply revered recited thought, because then you will truly become a peacemaker, and you will behold the face of God everywhere. A blessing he recommends, one I find very important, is to bless people in their integrity. He then explains how he interprets this.
